A medical doctor and businesswoman, Jodine Jackto-Tafari specializes in patient empowerment and healthcare literacy.
 
Her early years in South Clarendon were spent observing the intersection of the horse stable, her mother’s classroom and her own schoolhouse—where empathy and education became a lifelong foundation for serving others. 
 
After a significant personal loss during secondary education at Hampton School, she overcame adversity and secured a presidential scholarship to study at a Historically Black College in the United States.

“Her experience deepened her commitment to identity, self-reliance, and empowerment—values that later shaped her approach to patient education.
